
The coffee cherries are now growing and soon are going to be harvested. By October the coffee beans make it to Europe, by November they will be waiting to be roasted!

SINCHI CHAKRA WARMI – “Strong women working together the Chakra”
This Women Association works together to reach the volume and the international market of good canephora, fine Robusta. They are very active and work closely with their families, neighbors, and many farmers from the region. Over 400 families from 51 communes are working together with this association. They organize training and workshops for the producers to improve the production and to get the best coffee. They just buy red coffee cherries, assuring in this way the best quality in the cup. This Association does many social projects with their producers, from medical care to women empowering workshops.
* Chakra is an ancestral traditional agroforestry system practiced by the Kichwas in the Amazon Region of Ecuador. The idea of a Chakra is that the indigenous people can find everything that they need to subsist in their land/ Chakra.


AsoAmazonas Association – WITOCA
AsoAmazonas is a family association. Andrea and Fabio work with their family, neighbors, and farmers from Huaticocha and around, in total 13 families. Their mission is to keep the ecosystem of the Amazon diverse and stop deforestation. They look for quality and precision. Andrea is Q-R Grader and enjoys trying new post-harvest processes. Their coffee always reaches the top five of the best fine Robustas from Ecuador.



ASOPROAKURI – Waylla Kuri (Green Gold)
The Kichwas from ASOPROAKURI label their products as Waylla Kuri meaning green gold. This association has 250 members, 60% men and 40% women that work with the Chakra system, which is organised by women. They have policies to preserve the rainforest, to work the land sustainably and respectfully. This association is located in Rukullakta, Napo, the homeland of Jumandy, an Ecuadorian national hero.
